Image quality and ordering

Will my original image quality be preserved?

Smaller-file mode re-encodes images as JPEG at 92% quality, with a maximum edge of 4,096 pixels and a white background. Fine text and diagrams may lose detail. Keep originals for archival use.

How do I sort a large batch?

Use Sort by filename for natural order (1, 2, 10), Reverse order, the up/down buttons, or a numeric page position. The list shows 50 filenames at a time. More than 100 images skips thumbnails, but you can still inspect and change every page position.

Folder and ZIP imports

Folders include supported images in subfolders where the browser supports directory selection. ZIP imports accept JPG, PNG, and WebP entries and skip other files and macOS metadata. Password-protected or unsupported archives may fail. The 500 MB limit applies to the unpacked images; use smaller batches if your device runs out of memory. Folder and ZIP images start in filename order; check the list before creating your PDF.
