PDF to image converter FAQs
Does my PDF get uploaded?
No. Your browser reads the file locally and converts its pages on your device. We do not send the PDF, its filename, or converted images to a server. Ordinary website requests are still processed by our hosting provider.
Should I choose JPG or PNG?
JPG is usually smaller and works well for photos and sharing. PNG preserves the rendered image without lossy compression, making it useful for text and diagrams. Both formats turn a PDF page into pixels; neither preserves selectable text or vector graphics.
Which resolution should I use?
96 DPI suits quick screen previews, 150 DPI gives more detail, and 300 DPI is useful for high-resolution output. Higher resolution uses more memory and creates larger files. It cannot recover detail missing from a low-quality scan.
Can I convert a large or password-protected PDF?
You can open one PDF up to 50 MB and 200 pages. Convert up to 50 selected pages at a time. Very large pages or output batches may reach browser memory limits; choose fewer pages or a lower resolution. Unlock password-protected PDFs with a trusted tool before using this converter.
Does this extract the original photos inside a PDF?
This tool converts entire pages, including their text and artwork, into images with a white background. It does not extract individual embedded photos, run OCR, or use AI to regenerate your content.
Can I combine PDF pages into one image?
Yes. Choose One long image and select up to 5 pages. Pages are stacked in page order, centered on white, without changing their proportions. The result must fit within 16 megapixels and 8192 pixels per side; reduce pages or DPI if needed.
Where are my converted images saved?
They stay temporarily in this tab until you download them. Removing the PDF or refreshing the page clears the working files. Downloads go to the location chosen by your browser.
